Jim Hart currently serves as the Assistant Federal Security Director for Law Enforcement at the Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport (PHX) and its northern Arizona satellite airports.
Mr. Hart joined the Federal Air Marshal Service (FAMS) in July 2006. Mr. Hart has a proven track record as a self-motivated, high performing leader, skilled at executing complex and multi-disciplinary projects. Promotes multi-disciplinary collaboration, results oriented culture, accountable to the organization and stakeholders. Is a professional, with 9 years’ military and 24 years’ law enforcement experience including many years of management experience.
Mr. Hart has served as a Supervisory Federal Air Marshal (SFAM) at FAMS Headquarters in Virginia and at The Los Angeles Field Office. Prior to being promoted to SFAM, Mr. Hart was assigned to the Law Enforcement and Industry Training Division (LEITD) at the Federal Air Marshal Service Training Center (FAMSTC) in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Mr. Hart served as the Lead Instructor of the Intermodal Training Section and the Firearms Training Section. Mr. Hart’s dedication and team organization resulted in an unsurpassed success rate with basic and advanced students. Prior to being assigned to the FAMSTC in Atlantic City, Mr. Hart was assigned to the Washington Field Office.
Prior to joining the Federal Air Marshal Service, Mr. Hart served over 8 years in Local Law Enforcement in Illinois. As a Police Officer, he worked numerous assignments, including serving as a primary firearms and tactics instructor, and was assigned to the 5 th District SWAT Team. Mr. Hart served over 9 years combined in the US Army and US Navy. Mr. Hart was assigned to an Airborne Infantry Unit while serving with the US Army and assigned to the US Marine Corps as an FMF Naval Combat Corpsman while serving in the US Navy.
